Les l\u00e9sions de la coiffe peuvent \u00eatre\npartielles ou compl\u00e8tes. Elles surviennent apr\u00e8s des microtraumatismes r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9s, des\ngestes excessifs ou un choc direct. Dans ces cas, la mobilit\u00e9 se r\u00e9duit et une faiblesse\ndu biceps ou d\u2019autres structures environnantes peut appara\u00eetre. La rupture d\u2019un\ntendon n\u00e9cessite parfois une chirurgie pour restaurer la fonction et \u00e9viter l\u2019\u00e9volution\nvers une capsulite.<br>\nLe diagnostic clinique repose sur l\u2019examen de la mobilit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9valuation des tissus et\nl\u2019imagerie m\u00e9dicale, utile pour identifier une rupture ou une calcification. Les signes typiques sont une g\u00eane lors de la rotation, une r\u00e9duction des\nmouvements et des difficult\u00e9s lors de l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9vation du bras. Si elle n\u2019est pas trait\u00e9e, cette\naffection peut \u00e9voluer vers des l\u00e9sions plus s\u00e9v\u00e8res, voire provoquer une rupture. Une\nr\u00e9\u00e9ducation prolong\u00e9e, et parfois la chirurgie, sont alors n\u00e9cessaires.<br>\nLe traitement associe repos, m\u00e9dicaments anti-inflammatoires, exercices cibl\u00e9s sur\nles muscles stabilisateurs et, si besoin, un geste chirurgical. Les patients peuvent aussi pr\u00e9senter une\ncalcification des structures adjacentes, accentuant le conflit avec la coiffe des\nrotateurs. Dans les formes s\u00e9v\u00e8res, la chirurgie peut inclure une r\u00e9section acromiale\nou la pose d\u2019une proth\u00e8se pour am\u00e9liorer la fonction et r\u00e9duire l\u2019inconfort.<br>\nLa r\u00e9\u00e9ducation apr\u00e8s chirurgie a un r\u00f4le majeur. Les sympt\u00f4mes incluent perte de mobilit\u00e9 et faiblesse, notamment\nau niveau du biceps.
